We’ve lived in our apartment now for almost a month and we’ve been meaning to go around with cookies and meet our neighbors… and it finally happened this Sunday! We baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, my mom’s recipe, and they turned out great. (Recipe at the bottom of this post)
We have four neighbors in our 5 unit house, three of the units, including ours, are downstairs, and two are upstairs. Our front neighbors are young couple who moved in the same time we did, and an older couple who are rarely home behind us. Upstairs there is a married couple who have a dog and are expecting their first child next year, and right above us is a single guy (who has a girlfriend, just not living together) who plays music while he’s at home. He also watches westerns, we hear everything he does. Luckily for us he has really good taste in music so I’m not complaining.
It’s been really nice living in Madison Park so far, we have great neighbors and I’m looking forward to getting to know them more and making friends in our neighborhood as well.
Until next time,

2 C rolled oats
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
Blend well with butter/sugar/egg mixture and add 3/4 C soaked raisins (we substituted chocolate chips)
